Tye “Tye, Tye the Sound Guy” Compogno
As all sound guys do, Tye started off as a very young child along with his twin brother. That whole thing is another story, but the path Tye has taken to end up as the sound engineer for Hot Rod Deluxe is an interesting one. You see, Tye has a father who is the master sound technician for one of the largest churches in the Inland Empire. It makes total sense, then, that Tye would assimilate some of his dad’s penchant for sound. Tye started mixing sound at thirteen and for him, that wasn’t that long ago. Ahhhhh, the innocence and energy of youth. But we digress……
Don’t’ be fooled, however. "Tye, Tye the Sound Guy" has certainly has his share of experience. His talent was recognized by the likes of Bernie Worell, the keyboardist for the Talking Heads, when he had Tye do the sound for him. Tye brings with him a tremendous amount of experience considering his youthful countenance and with it, his penchant for serving the band. You see, Tye is our “go to” guy. He allows the band to do what they need to do without having to worry about the little gremlins that seem to travel in the road cases. And the good news? He has his own tools! You guessed it, tools he uses with Hot Rod Deluxe.
