Kelly Porter was born in Spokane, Washington and his fascination with the piano began when he was just four years old. The rest, as they say, is history. That was forty plus years ago and the swath of stylized keyboard riffs, smooth background vocals and innovative tone quality he cut through the music industry is wide and deep.
Raised in the Great Northwest, "Fingers" began his professional career at the ripe old age of 13 playing for Clog dances and high school dances and then on to the Sunset Strip. You know, all those places that no longer exist? Make no mistake, however, “Fingers” has experience that will impress even the hardiest of road worn musicians. He has played in over 1.200 clubs and professional venues from Seattle to New York, from Alaska to San Diego and even wowed ‘em throughout Canada.
It is not hard to understand how Kelly got to be the dynamic talent that he is. You see, he has been on a musical train ride that many envy but few ever experience. Utilizing his many talents in rock ‘n roll, classical and blues, Kelly has played with some of the most popular and successful bands of his era. He has shared the stage with the Pointer Sisters, The Beach Boys and Tower Of Power. Cool, huh?
