Our Guestbook
    • Hey, Scott Livingston, Do you remember an asshole buddy of Stephen Islas from the East Coast with tattoos, that he served in Vietnam with and they were sharing his Dad's house in Encino?

      I'm that asshole!

Back then you had a Fender Twin-Reverb with extra horns you placed on top of it, and had an ES-335 and another that was 12-string version (which I see in the band pics).

At the time we were living in Encino we were working out of N.Hollywood for an Insulation Co. I had a beatup DanElectro with red/white&Blue tape all over it (with a broken/repaired neck).

I just got back in touch with Stephen Islas after a 20+ year hiatus, and he gave me the particulars about your band, so I Googled it.

    • Curt, the email address you gave me, won't accept the picture..is there another email account i can send it to?

    • Hey guys. Sorry to use this for a non-booking message, but what ya gunna do? I was part of the Shumate Harley Chicken Run crowd. You guys were awesome. A picture of me and my girlfriend showed up on your website and I would really like to get a full sized copy of it. It's 14 rows down and the second picture in. She's a cute little blonde and I'm and old guy in a black cap. If it's not too much trouble . . . thanks guys! Curt

    • hi there we saw you guys at the dam on the forth and you were great . i wish you came to western washington sometime. i would love to see you inside cause i hate outdoor shows (they usually sound bad) and you were still good. really good.. i'll be watching for ya. thanks gene.

    • This message came to us today and I hope the person who sent it won't mind my posting it on the site. It is so heartfelt and the sentiments are shared by all of us in Hot Rod Deluxe.

"Hey all, just thinking of Marc, he was like my dad, wow. I was so blessed to have someone like him in my life. He really believed in me and loved me, (like a true dad). I miss him so dearly and wished I could have said goodbye. I miss his smile and voice. I wish he could have heard the man he knew I would have become. Love you pops, my buddy, my pal."

    • Someone told me about your site and I just checked it out. What a GREAT website you guys have. I really feel like I have a feeling for the band and the type of people you are. I've seen you play on several occasions at Pig Out In The Park, First Night Spokane and I also so you open for Herman's Hermits with Peter Noone in Lewiston at Hot August Nights. You guys rock like no band I've ever seen. Anybody who hasn't heard you and the fantastic music you play is really missing out. Keep it up. We need Hot Rod Deluxe out there keeping that great music alive.

    • Saw your show tonight at Pig Out in the Park. Great job! I can you and all the other guys in the band really enjoy what you're doing; you put a lot of emotion and passion in your music! We also enjoyed the Grass Roots, one of my favorite bands from the 60s and early 70s. Rob Grill's voice was off, though, probably from all the shows the group was doing on their tour.

    • We heard you guys at the 2 valleys fundraiser saturday night and were absolutely blown away. What an awesome group you have. You can bet that we will be pushing to have you back next year and the year after that! Great job.
